How new posts on the Rentovation blog are researched, drafted with AI assistance, fact-checked and approved by a person before they publish.
Who publishes the blog
The Rentovation blog is published by Rentovation, the company that makes the car rental software some posts discuss. It is written for people who run rental businesses: independent operators, fleet owners and Turo hosts.
Keep our interest in mind when a post compares products. That is why a comparison has to use published prices and cite the page each one came from, so you can check it yourself.
Posts are credited to the Rentovation research desk, our name for the drafting process described below, and every post says it was reviewed and approved before publication.
How a post is researched
Topics come from our content calendar and from search research data: what rental operators search for and the questions they ask. Search volumes and rankings must come from that research, never from an AI model's memory. Claims about Rentovation itself, such as what it does, what it costs and who has a feature, must match the product as it is today, and a feature limited to some plans or accounts is described that way.
Facts about the industry, such as marketplace fees, laws, insurance and market data, must come from a source a reviewer has opened. A page that merely loads is not enough: it has to say what the post says.
How AI is used
Drafts are written with AI assistance. AI is a drafting tool here, not the decision-maker: nothing it writes can publish on its own, and every draft goes through the checks and the approval below.
How a post is fact-checked
Before a post can be approved, automated checks run again on the exact text under review. They:
- hold prices and percentages about Rentovation to an approved list of claims unless the sentence names a source (illustrative arithmetic, such as a worked example, is exempt);
- block a set of superlative and absolute phrases, such as "cheapest", "#1" or "no fees", unless the approved claims say them;
- block a number attached to a competitor unless the sentence names its source;
- require every number in a chart to appear in the text or in a cited source;
- allow links only to our own pages or to sources the post cites.
An automated fact-check then reads the draft and lists any claim it disputes, and every finding needs a recorded resolution. If that check cannot run, or returns something unusable, it never counts as a pass: a person records a manual fact-check review instead.
For every source in a post's source list that its text links to or names, a reviewer opens the source and records the words on that page that support the claim, and, where it matters, the date of the source and the place the fact applies to.
Who approves a post
A person on the Rentovation team reviews the final text on our review screen and approves or rejects it. Approval covers that exact version of the text. Any later edit creates a new version that needs its own review, and a published post cannot be edited outside that review.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email support@rentovation.co with the address of the post and what is wrong. A correction goes through the same review as a new post, and a post's Updated date changes when its article text does. You can also reach us through the contact page.
Where these standards apply
These standards took effect on September 30, 2026. They apply to posts published on rentovation.co/blog from that date and to any later correction of an earlier post. They do not cover the blogs rental companies publish on their own websites with Rentovation.
