What does each cost at your fleet size?
A pricing model only matters at the size you actually run, so here is the published price for the same fleet on both, using the cheapest Fleetwire plan that fits it.
| Fleet | Rentovation Starter | Fleetwire, month to month | Fleetwire, billed yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 vehicles | $197/mo | $34/mo (Basic) | $24/mo (Basic) |
| 10 vehicles | $197/mo | $89/mo (Standard) | $69/mo (Standard) |
| 15 vehicles | $197/mo | $89/mo (Standard) | $69/mo (Standard) |
| 25 vehicles | $197/mo | $279/mo (Premium) | $239/mo (Premium) |
| 60 vehicles | $197/mo | $279/mo (Premium) | $239/mo (Premium) |
Published prices, checked September 30, 2026. Rentovation bills monthly only. On Fleetwire, e-signed agreements start on Standard and a custom domain needs Premium, so with both of those the Fleetwire price is $279/mo month to month ($239/mo billed yearly) at any fleet size. Rentovation Starter includes both at $197/mo.[1][4][5]
Who should pick which?
Pick Fleetwire if
- Price decides it and you run up to 15 vehicles. Basic is $34/mo for up to 5 and Standard $89/mo for up to 15; Rentovation Starter is $197/mo.[1]
- You want to try it without entering a card. Fleetwire's 14-day trial needs no credit card; ours asks for one at signup.[1]
- You rent more than cars. Fleetwire lists camper vans, trailers, powersports, watercraft and golf carts.[2]
- You run Turo or Getaround beside your own site. Fleetwire blocks dates in both directions on both marketplaces; Rentovation syncs Turo one way only.[3]
- You need an API and webhooks (Premium) or GPS and telematics connections.[1][2]
Pick Rentovation if
- You run 16 or more vehicles. Fleetwire's plan for 16 to 150 vehicles is Premium at $279/mo month to month ($239/mo billed yearly); Rentovation Starter is $197/mo with no cap.[1]
- You want e-signed agreements and your own domain at the base price. Fleetwire puts e-sign on Standard and up and custom domains on Premium; Rentovation includes both on Starter.[4][5]
- Your team outgrows seat limits. Fleetwire includes 2, 5 or 20 staff accounts; Rentovation has no team limit.[1]
- You want marketing work done for you. Pro adds the AI local SEO engine and up to 3 SEO articles a week for your storefront blog.
- You want more choice of processor. Fleetwire lists Stripe and Square; Rentovation also connects PayPal, Braintree and Authorize.net.[1][6]
Where is Rentovation the weaker choice?
A vendor comparison is only worth reading if it says this part plainly, so here it is.
- Price for small fleets. At 15 vehicles or fewer we cost $108 to $163 a month more than Fleetwire, month to month.[1]
- Our trial asks for a card at signup. Fleetwire's does not.[1]
- Calendar sync. Ours is one-way and Turo only; Fleetwire syncs Turo and Getaround in both directions.[3]
- No API, webhooks or GPS connections. Fleetwire offers an API and webhooks on Premium and lists Tesla and GPS tracker connections.[1][2]
- No yearly discount. We bill monthly; Fleetwire saves up to 29% on yearly billing.[1]
- Verification has a per-check cost: $1.50 per ID check and $2.00 per insurance check. Fleetwire lists verification on every plan and publishes no per-check price on the pages we checked.[1][7]
How do you switch from Fleetwire to Rentovation?
- Export your vehicles, customers and bookings. Fleetwire's pricing page lists import and export on Standard and Premium; on Basic, ask Fleetwire support for an export.[1]
- Start a Rentovation trial and open the migration wizard from Fleet: Start the switch while the fleet is empty, or Import fleet only, then Import my whole business. Pick the spreadsheet or generic CSV source, upload your CSV files and map the columns.
- Read the import receipt. Rows that could not be matched go to a downloadable exceptions file; fix them and import again, and a second run never creates duplicates. Imported bookings do not send renter emails, payment links or deposit holds.
- Connect your own payment processor in Settings. Saved renter cards cannot move between systems, so renters enter a card again on their next booking.
- Rentovation does not sync Getaround, so block Getaround dates by hand if you keep listing there. For Turo, set up Turo Calendar Sync in Settings; it is one-way.
- Run both systems until the bookings already made on the old one are complete. Then point your domain and your links at your Rentovation storefront, and cancel the old subscription.
